Hand knitted socks are a great item to make as not only are they comfortable and durable, they are fairly straightforward to knit once you get going. They also make great gifts for family and friends.

To start socks is easy because once you have cast on and completed the rib, you are basically knitting a tube until you reach the heel. Once the heel and gusset decreases are complete you continue to knit until the foot of the sock 2" (5cm) short of the length needed for the foot size which is where this workshop will help.

During this 2 hour workshop you will learn how to decrease for the toes and begin to learn Kitchener stitch to graft the toe of your sock.

You will need to do a bit of prep for the workshop, you will need to have to completed the leg, heel and foot of a sock to the desired length so that you are ready to begin the toes beforehand.
